Canada Water Leisure Centre
We’re excited to announce the forthcoming opening of Canada Water Leisure Centre in Spring 2025.
This is part of the dynamic regeneration led by British Land. This bigger, modern facility will proudly replace the existing Seven Islands Leisure Centre, which has served the community for nearly six decades.
The new Leisure Centre will feature;

A World Class Gym – with over 150 pieces of cutting-edge fitness equipment to suit all fitness levels

Two Swimming Pools – a competition standard 8-lane, 25metre pool for everyone to enjoy… PLUS a dedicated learner pool

Three Fitness Studios – a high-energy studio for those pumping fitness classes, plus a Mind & Body studio for yoga & relaxation… PLUS a dedicated indoor-cycling studio

Southwark Splash Swim School
With larger pool facilities than Seven Islands Leisure Centre, Canada Water now offers even more opportunities for swimming lessons. Dive in and make a splash with us.
We offer swimming lessons for children and adults either on an individual basis or group lesson.
If you currently have swimming lessons at Seven Islands, your membership will automatically transfer across to Canada Water Leisure Centre. If you do not wish to continue swimming lessons at Canada Water please email Janet.Foskett@southwark.gov.uk.
We will be in touch with everyone transferring across early 2025 with swimming lesson information. We will endeavor to make your lesson time and day the same or as close as possible.

Job opportunities
We will actively be seeking fitness professionals, receptionists, lifeguards and swimming teachers to work at our new leisure centre. Keep an eye out on our jobs page for opportunities.
